The amount of additive PERMASET 839 is typical for furan systems and, depending on the individual characteristics of the foundry industry, the consumer ranges from 0.7 to 1.2% of the mass of sand. PERMASET 839 allows you to use up to 90% of the mechanical regenerate with the successful operation of the regeneration system. PERMASET 839 is particularly suitable for steel casting but can also be used for the manufacture of iron castings.
Attention! Do not directly mix PERMASET 839 with acids, such as PERMACAT catalysts. These materials should only be mixed together with sand.
Handling Precautions
Resin PERMASET 839 contains components that can be hazardous if mistreated. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, wear protective clothing. Check the appropriate safety data sheet to ensure that the resin handling procedures are known and understood.
Storage.
Resin PERMASET 839 should be stored at a temperature of 5 … 25С protected from direct sunlight. Acceptable, but not recommended, storage at higher or lower temperatures. Storage at elevated temperatures significantly reduces shelf life.
