The separation coating TRIGEL LD is an air-drying suspension of aluminum powder in a liquid organic solvent with average solids content. Suitable for all sand resin processes and most materials of models. TRIGEL LD provides improved separation properties and shortens the required drying time.
Application
Trigel LD can be applied with a brush or spray. Application should be carried out in a well-ventilated area to reduce the effects of solvent vapor. The release agent must be applied quickly and at the same time avoid its excessive use. The application should not be too intense; it will help to avoid excessive sticking in easily abrasive parts of the model equipment. The application should not be abundant to prevent build-up on the surface of the model. Trigel LD has a small tendency to build up and high resistance, easy and infrequent application will provide good separation properties.
The separation coating Trigel LD must be mixed before use so that the aluminum particles are in suspension.
Storage / Precautions for safe handling
The separating cover of Trigel LD should be kept away from direct sunlight and in well-ventilated areas. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, wear protective clothing. Trigel LD is classified as FLAMMABLE and should be kept away from any sources of fire / sparks. Review the appropriate safety data sheet to ensure that the correct procedures for handling the material are known and understood.
