Perma-cote 327S is a fast-drying, alcohol-based non-stick coating for molds and cores used for castings from gray and high-strength cast iron, for small (up to 50 kg) steel castings and castings from non-ferrous metals. The coating is a thick paste that must be diluted with ethyl or isopropyl alcohol.
It is suitable for most binding systems, including furan, alkaline-phenolic system and liquid glass.
Application:
- by brushing,
- by dipping (recommended viscosity: 12-15s 4 mm / DIN 53211),
- by flooding,
- by spraying.
Before use, the coating must be thoroughly mixed.
Coated rods or molds must be air dried or ignited.
Storage / Handling Precautions
Perma-cote 327S is classified as a HIGHLY FLAMMABLE PRODUCT, so appropriate precautions should be taken when handling and storing. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, wear protective clothing. Review the appropriate safety data sheet to ensure that the handling procedures are known and understood.
