Perma-cote 100W is a water based zircon coating for moulds and cores used for
castings in steel, grey iron, nodular and malleable iron. It is prepared as a thick
paste.
Application
It is recommended for moulds and cores produced by various processes such as cold-box, shell mounding or furan process. Before use the paste should be diluted by a proper quantity of water, depending on the way the coating is applied:
- by brush,
- by dipping,
- by spraying.
Before use, the coating must be thoroughly mixed. Coated cores and moulds are dried in the air or in an oven (up to 120⁰ C).
Storage:
Perma-cote 100W should be stored in a dry place where the temperature is between 4 – 30⁰ C.
Important! Perma-cote 100W is not allowed to freeze!
