Over the past few years, the Ukrainian metallurgical industry has undergone significant changes. The export volume of metal products increased until 2021, reaching $15.98 billion (almost reaching $16 billion), which was 77% more than in 2020. However, the war with the Russian Federation in 2022 caused a significant drop in export volumes. For example, exports to Southeast Asia and Oceania fell by 10 times, and to Latin America by 8.5 times .
Despite these challenges, in 2023, Ukraine continued to export metal products to almost all continents, although the export geography changed significantly due to logistical problems and combat operations.
Key Trends in the Ukrainian Metallurgical Industry in 2024
